Sep 1st, 2020  I was left alone again while they went to the Battery Point Lighthouse.
As you can see from the picture, you can only walk out to the lighthouse island during low tide.  It was not low tide!  They also took a walk on the pier and then drove up the coast to Pebble Beach.
Mom said there is a rugged beauty to this coastline.  But the wind made it very cold for a walk.

After dinner they went back to Battery Park Light house because it was low tide.  It was so cool to walk across where just a couple of hours earlier it was completely covered with water.

Sep 2nd, 2020  Happy Birthday to me,
                         Happy birthday to me,
                         Happy birthday dear Tiger,
                         Happy birthday to me!!

Sep 3rd, 2020  They went to some place called Ocean World.  They watch a bunch of fish swim around and then these seals did trick for them.  You can watch here!!

Sep 4th, 2020  I was just getting adjusted to all the loud noises of Crescent City, Ca, but no!!!  Off we go again!!  We finally ended up the road 100 miles North in Bandon Oregon.  We stopped in a place called Bandon by the Sea RV Park.

It looks like a nice RV Park and we'll stay here a week.

Sep 6th, 2020  Early this afternoon I caught up on my sleep while they went out.  They stopped at Devils Kitchen Beach to take some pictures.  As you can see, they walked all the way out to Devils Rock in 25 mile an hour gusty wind.

Just to take a couple of pictures.

Then they drove all the way to the North side of town to the Coquille River Lighthouse.

Sep 8th, 2020  Today they went to visit some new friends they met at the Bandon Church.  Gordon and Heather live on the North East side of Bandon.  While there, they watched fire fighters fight a forest fire that was approximately 3 or so miles away.  They saw many fire trucks and forest trucks.  They also watched a helicopter suck up water from the Coquille River and dump the water on the fire.  The wind kept changing and it was very scary.  Even now, hours later we can still smell and see the smoke in the air.

On the way home they saw the funnest bill board advertisement ever!!!

Septic Pumping

Sep 11th, 2020  Well we drove north about 125 miles to Harbor Village in Newport, OR.

When we arrived at lunch time, somebody was in our assigned spot.  It took the manager awhile to find them and get them to move.  Ah, the fun of RVing!!  This RV park is huge and very mountainous!  Mom is thrilled that there are blackberry bushes on the hill behind us.

Sep 12th, 2020   Mom and dad drove south about 20 miles to go to church.  Because of the China virus, they had services in the parking lot and were broadcasting on FM.  People would honk to "say" amen.  It was pretty cool!  No kids running around or people talking disturbing the service.  Yes it was very foggy!!

Sep 13th, 2020  Because of all the fires, the fire hazards and the air quality we've decided to abandon Oregon and leave as quickly as we can.

We've decided to scoot over to I-5 and go south.  Once we are in the Grants Pass / Medford area we will go east into Nevada.  Hopefully we don't have any problems!!

Sep 14th, 2020  I told them not to go, but nobody listens to me!  We left Harbor Village and are traveling over to I-5 and then south to Oakland, OR.  We had a lot of smoke we had to drive in.  We could only see about 1/3 of a mile the whole way.  Pretty scary!!!  Click here for a YouTube video.

We'll stop for a couple of days at Rice Hill RV Park. This turned out to be a pretty good campground with good WiFi.  Nice green grass and a few trees!!!

Sep 16th, 2020  Dad messed up!  We left Rice Hill RV park and drove to a Medford UPS Center to pick up a package that could not be delivered because of the fires.  That was easy and no problems.  Then he drove us to a KOA in Klamath Falls Oregon.  That's where he messed up.  This place was LOUD!!!!  I couldn't sleep a wink because of all the street racing and loud booming cars.  I thought Crescent City CA was bad.  NOPE!  Luckily we only spent 1 night and everything worked like it was suppose to.

Sep 17th, 2020  Dad almost messed up again.  He drove us out of Klamath Falls en-route to Lakeview, OR.  Dad read about a new RV park called Tall Town RV Park.  Once we got there, it was nothing more then a large gravel field and the WiFi was weak.  So, we didn't stay.

Luckily, dad called Juniper Reservoir RV Resort (up the street 10 miles) and they had an opening for 1 night.  This place was expensive, but it was worth it because this place is quiet!!!

I am perplexed at the 200 plus black ugly dogs out in this field in front of me making noise all day!!!  Oh Well.

Sep 18th, 2020  Again, plans had to be changed.  We are now in Nevada.  We returned to a campground we stayed at before.  Winnamucca RV Park has okayWiFi and good cable TV.  It is tight spaces and mostly gravel, but does have some trees.  We'll stay 1 week and they'll get some work done, hopefully.

Sep 25th, 2020  Today we bounced our way up the road to Elko, Nevada.  A bigger town than Winnemucca.  We stayed at the Double Dice RV park.  We only stayed 3 days here.  The daily sites were good looking and plenty of space.  However, there were a lot of monthly sites.  Those sites are very close together.  They have cable TV that is OK but the OTA TV was just as good.  The WiFi was the worst ever!!!!  450Kbps was the fastest we ever got.  We picked this place because we thought it would be good.  We only stayed 3 days.

Sep 28th, 2020  We left Elko and went East 50 miles to Wells, Nevada (a wide spot in the road with a zip code).  I liked this trip because mommy drove most of the way.  We finally stopped at Crossroads RV Park.

This park is a very small (22 sites) park with brand new owners.  He has big plans!!  The WiFi is very good at 6.5 Mbps and 43 OTA TV stations.  We'll stay 3 days.

Sep 30th, 2020  I was allowed to get some extra sleep today when mom and dad left.  They did a drive up to Angel Lake, Nevada (A glacial lake).  The leaves were turning colors and the views are just spectacular.

Click here for  a short video they took of the leaves turning colors.

Click here for all the pictures they took up at Angel Lake.
