July 4th, 2020  Late at night, mom and dad sat in their chairs out front and watched the 4th of July fireworks.  I was glad they were close because all that booming scared me.  So I went under the covers and hid from all the noise.

July 6th, 2020  After enduring a week of hell, mom and dad took me out of Winnemucca.  The last week here was the worst week ever.  The rodeo was in town and those cowboys and cowgirls are the rudest people ever!!!  At 5 am they would start making noise and would continue well after midnight.  Dad did not make any friends here.  In fact I was worried for his health because he would "talk" to those idiots.  Anyway, the day after the rodeo ended, all the "cow-farts" left the campground in such a big dirty trashy mess, I was glad to leave.  We traveled North to a family run campground called Stateline RV Park and spent the night.  This was an expensive RV park with nothing.  I mean, no WI-FI, no TV, no bath house!  $40 for nothing!!   Another gravel parking lot with RV pedestals. However, it was very quiet and we slept well.

July 7th, 2020  I was awakened at 5 or 6 am by the sound of lots of birds.  It's been a long time since I played with any birds.  But I didn't get a chance.  Dad took us out of there, early.  We went to a campground outside of Boise, Idaho called Caldwell Campground and RV Park.
We'll stay 3 days.  This place has a fishing pond with ducks and is near the Boise River.  This could be fun!!!

July 9th, 2020  Today, I had the whole morning to myself.  They left to go shopping in Boise, so I looked around the campground.  I found Mallard ducks feeding at the neighbors house
and then I saw a Bearded Dragon (named Silky) on a guys lap!!  What a life!!
I didn't see any fish in the pond yet, but "I'm a lookin"!!!
In the middle of the day I was attacked by a flock of ducks.  It took all my training to protect mom!!

July 10th, 2020 We moved again today. (sigh)  From the Boise area north to a small town called Grangeville.  The drive up was just lovely.  However, we were delayed by road construction.  There was a really bad rock slide.

We spent the weekend here (because we don't travel during the weekend) and this rv park (Bear Den RV Resort) was very nice.  Lots of green grass, mountain views and very quiet.

This place even had a pond but mom wouldn't let me out to go fishing!!  This town did have a really nice small friendly church.  That was nice.  Not much of a town tho.

July 12th, 2020  Dad and his store bought license had us bouncing up the road toward Spokane.  There were two very tall mountains grades the motor home had to go up.  That was slow going.  But she did really good and never overheated.  That was nice!!!
As we got closer to Spokane we saw fields and fields of these bright yellow flowers.  After a little research mom said they are Canola Flowers.  These Canola flowers are turned into Canola oil.

We finally arrived at Wild Rose RV Park.  I forgot we stayed here two years ago.
This place has lots birds.  I'll like here!!!
The owners have a garden out back anybody can pick from.  It has carrots, cauliflower, cabbage, rhubarb, onions, lettuces, kale, corn, and more.
Oh and there is a really nice rose garden (in honor of his late wife).

July 16th, 2020
Today, I was left all alone while they went to Coeur d'Alene to sight see.  Cœur d'Alêne, means "heart of an awl", reflecting their experience of the tribal traders as tough businessmen, "sharp-hearted" or "shrewd".
They stopped at a very nice city park with walking paths, bicycle paths, ducks and lots of kids swimming.
Coeur d'Alene Lake, is a natural dam-controlled lake. At its northern end is the city of Coeur d'Alene.  It spans 25 miles in length and ranges from 1 to 3 miles wide with over 109 miles of shoreline.
The city park was well maintained and people were nice.  They had moose statues everywhere.  That was funny!!  Then they walked city center and window shopped.  After lunch they went to Tubbs Hill.
This is another city park which is really a large hill with lots hiking trails.  All along the waters edge people were swimming.  Even dogs were getting their fur coats wet.  Dumb dogs!!

July 18th, 2020  Mom and dad went to a self-supporting church today (Countryside Sabbath Fellowship) and found some new friends that know people at the Chino Valley church.  It was a great service with a fellowship lunch after.

July 19th, 2020 Today I hid under the blanket while dad drove us to the Chelan County Expo Center.  This place is a big grass field with RV pedestals with full hook-ups and the price is very good.  So we'll stay here a week.  The WI-FI is good, most of the time!  The over the air TV, not so good.  There's not much in the town of Cashmere, but the Wenatchee River is near by.  It is fed by the Columbia River.  So I might go fishing this week!!  But it's gonna be hot all week.  Between 86 - 99 degrees all week, so maybe not!

Here's the view from my window.
July 21, 2020  On one of mom's walks, she stopped in at the local golf course.  They have some really beautiful flowers.

July 22nd, 2020  I had to endure another move today!  The campground host asked us to move so they could water the grass.  Which was OK.  Our next door neighbors had three of the four worst habits any RV'er can have.  They had 4 uncontrolled children, they were drunk and loud and had a very loud motorcycle.  The only good thing was they did not have a barking dog.  The RV park said they are not welcome back.

Anyway, so we moved all they way across the park.  But in the process, dad learned he has an airbag issue.  Once we got to the new site, we called a mobile repair guy out who diagnosed the issue as the right rear airbag.  He doesn't do this type of repair so he recommended Troy Field Repair.  Just so you know, your not suppose to drive the motor home with a broken airbag.  So this had to get fixed!!!
On July 24th Troy Field sent a guy out at 9am to replace the defective airbag.  Both companies have great customer service.
This is the broken airbag.  It's not suppose to be in two pieces!!
This is the new airbag.
As you can see, there is a big difference.

July 24th, 2020  On a cool afternoon I was not invited to go to the Cashmere River Park.  Here they had a moving 9-11 Memorial.

At this park they also had a boat ramp were river rafters would stop and haul up their rafts at the end of the day.  I would use it to go fishing.  The water was shallow but very cold!

They also did not invite me to the Aplets and Cotlets candy store and factory.  I like sweets!!!

July 27th, 2020  Today was a 5 hour day of bouncing all around the back of this motor home.  After we left the expo dad took this winding route through the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest.  While it was very beautiful, it was winding (both side to side and up and down) and fraught with construction.  Near the end of this "driving experience" we all stopped for lunch.  Dad pulled off the highway into this entrance to a trailhead.  He should not have!  It was filled with pot holes!!!  Even though he drove a 1 MPH all the pot holes nearly bounced me out of my bed.  Sigh!!  Mom told dad to "never do that again".
After lunch dad was driving on the I-5 highway.  This was pretty good until they got near Costco gas station, where they got lost and pulled into a parking lot with no exit.  They had to dis-connect the jeep and back the motor home up.  What bozo's!!  Then at the Costco gas station, the attendant turned off the gas because dad left "the generator running".  It would seem this guy didn't like it that I had air conditioning (with the generator) while he had to work outside in the heat.  I bet he's a dog lover!
Anyway, we finally made it to the Nisqually RV Park.

July 28th, 2020  After I got my egg breakfast, mom and dad took a hike.  Mom found some wild blackberries on the hike.  So she picked a bunch.  She is soooo into organic!!!
I didn't know there was a creek nearby.  Maybe I'll get me some fresh fish tonight!

July 29th, 2020  For the last two days, we've been hearing these big loud booms nearby.  They are like "concussion" booms.  So I did a little sleuthing around and found out there is an Army/Air Force (Lewis-McClord) joint base just a few miles East of us.  This base specializes in artillery training.  Dad thinks besides small arms (pistols and rifles) they also train the troops on Howitzers and mortar and maybe other big guns.

As you can guess, some of these guns can pack a real wallop to the enemy.  So practice makes perfect.

July 30th, 2020  Mom shoved me into my cat carrier and dad bounced us down the road, again.  Actually up the road.  We went North!  It was a 3 hour drive but dad found this really nice place called Triton Cove State Park.  It's really just a parking lot with a boat ramp.  But it was big and well cared for.  So it made for a great spot to eat lunch.
They left me here to guard the motor home while they went down to the water.  They said they saw baby fish swimming and crabs just crawling around.  I never get to see anything!   :(

Somewhere around 2 pm we made it to Rainbows End RV Park
The drive was just fantastic.  We drove along the water front for most of the way, so it was really cool!!  The weather here is low 80's with the possibility of rain!!
I get to see my sister in law.  She's really cool and a cat person too!!

July 31st, 2020  Here's the weather forecast for the next 10 days.  Anybody want to come visit me?
I have a really great view of a tree from my veranda.
